Toxicology Data Sharing: Leveraging Data Sharing To Enable Better Decision Making In Research And Development
This paper examines the experiences of the BioCelerate team in designing, building and using DataCelerate®, a scalable platform used to initially share de-identified toxicology and background control data. It also examines the long-term vision for preclinical data sharing, the evolution of use cases beyond TDS, and the readiness of industry and other stakeholder groups to contribute to this holistic value proposition.

Analysis Use Case Examples
Understanding the toxicity profiles for all studies performed for one compound, as well as understanding the effects of longer exposure
Understanding off-target toxicity / multiple compounds binding to the same target as well as understanding trends for a class of compounds or Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Understanding the effects of vehicles that might be used on different studies
Understanding the frequency of rare and incidental findings from background control data
Predicting / modelling the toxicology profile or biological activities of chemicals in animals using Quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR)
Link clinical and preclinical data to provide translational insights
